FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SIGMA PHI DELTA UNVEILS NEW BRAND IDENTITY TO CHAMPION THE MODERN ENGINEER

(DATELINE: CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, June 13, 2026) — Sigma Phi Delta, The Premier International Fraternity of Engineers, is proud to announce the launch of its new public-facing logo (refer to file FINAL-SPD-Logo-lockup.jpg). Designed to clearly broadcast our identity to the world, this updated visual lockup strikes a perfect balance between our historic roots as a social professional fraternity and our future as the definitive network for modern engineering leaders.

A Bold Design for Clear Communication The new logo leverages our official red and black colors to create a striking, highly visible identity. The design centers on several key elements meant to instantly communicate who we are:

The Clear Name: To ensure immediate recognition for audiences, university administrators, and industry partners unfamiliar with the Greek system, the words "SIGMA PHI DELTA" are stacked in bold, imposing black letters. The Classic Greek Letters: We proudly maintain the classic ΣΦΔ letters in stark white against a red background, honoring our rich history and our status as a premier social professional fraternity. The Classic Castle: Nestled below the Greek letters is the classic white castle tower. Long a symbol of our Brotherhood, the castle directly alludes to our foundational identity as builders, creators, and engineers. The Identity: Anchoring the entire design is the word "ENGINEERS," leaving no doubt about our mission, our membership, and our professional focus.

Building the Future with Project Momentum "As we push forward into our next century, it is vital that our 'hardware' and outward communication reflect the strength and clarity of our Brotherhood," said Grand President Ian Santarinala. "This new logo allows us to proudly declare who we are to the general public while retaining the essential symbols that connect us to our heritage."

The new visual identity will be rolled out across the Fraternity’s digital platforms, public outreach materials, and recruitment campaigns effective immediately.
